The Tree Planted in 1732 still Grows

The Northwest Catholic District School Board is now offering the Grade 10 Religious Education Course (HRE20) Christ and Culture through E-Learning. It is the goal of the Board to offer students the opportunity to further your faith journey in Catholic Education.

This is an open course with no pre-requisite required, worth a full credit. There is no cost for students and is open to all grade level high school students in the Fort Frances, Rainy River, Atikokan, Dryden, and Sioux Lookout areas.

This course examines the relationship between the person and message of Christ, and the social attitudes of contemporary culture. Through this course students have the opportunity to experience firsthand the call and response to Catholic Social Teaching and Christian Community Service.

With E-Learning, students enjoy the convenience of working through this course on their own free time. Students will be expected to sign in daily to complete weekly assignments. There will be one final exam in June.

Registration begins 18 January 2016, with the course beginning on 1 February 2016. Interested students are asked to register for this course at their high school guidance office.
